Richard Hansen is a passionate advocate for local business and the Cooroy community. As Director and Lead Auctioneer of Hinter Auctions and a licensed Sales Agent with Harcourts Property Centre, Richard brings extensive business experience, strong leadership, and a genuine commitment to supporting local enterprise.

Raised on a mixed farming property in Central Queensland, Richard believes in hard work, integrity, and the importance of thriving local communities. A long-time Chamber committee member, he is dedicated to fostering collaboration, encouraging business growth, and helping ensure Cooroy remains a vibrant place to live, work, and do business.

Richard is also a highly regarded fundraising auctioneer and event host, having helped raise significant funds for charities and community organisations. He has been the voice behind Christmas in Cooroy for the past 12 years, playing a key role in one of the town’s most cherished annual events.

Roy has been a valued member of the Cooroy community since the 1980s, bringing a wealth of professional experience and a strong commitment to supporting the region. During his distinguished 34-year career as a paramedic, Roy worked throughout Queensland and in several international postings, developing extensive medical, operational and leadership expertise.

Since 2003, Roy has been the proprietor of MedSat Technologies Pty Ltd. Initially specialising in satellite telecommunications and telemedicine, the Cooroy-based company has evolved to focus on the sale and repair of medical equipment and the custom fitout of specialist vehicles.

Roy is an active volunteer with the Ridgewood Rural Fire Brigade and continues to support several local organisations. He joined the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce Committee to learn from others, give back and strengthen connections within the community.

Roy values the genuine support shared among Cooroy businesses and is particularly proud to be involved with Christmas in Cooroy—a vibrant celebration of the town’s spirit. For Roy, supporting local means connecting, collaborating and promoting the welcoming community we call home.

Kellie is the Managing Director and principle at Rosehill Legal. After moving to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with her family in 2022, she quickly embraced the Cooroy community and feels fortunate to be part of both the town and the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce.

Passionate about supporting local businesses, Kellie values the unique opportunities offered throughout Cooroy and the surrounding hinterland. She joined the Chamber committee to build meaningful relationships, exchange ideas and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the local community.

Kellie appreciates Cooroy’s vibrant business environment and close-knit, welcoming atmosphere. She particularly enjoys the Chamber’s diverse events, including the relaxed monthly Coffee Connect gatherings, informative Cooroy Creates sessions and Cooroy Collaborates networking events.

For Kellie, Cooroy is unique, friendly and authentic. Supporting local means investing in the people and businesses that give the community its character, helping neighbours succeed and keeping money circulating within the local economy.

Maxine is a respected business and community leader whose experience spans manufacturing, economic development and local advocacy. As the driving force behind Kiel Industries, a highly regarded manufacturing company based in Morwell, Victoria, she worked alongside her husband, Colin, to expand the company’s reach and reputation. Under their leadership, Kiel Industries became known for its innovative products, commitment to quality and sustainable practices.

Maxine also played an active role in supporting local initiatives and encouraging economic growth throughout the South Gippsland region. After moving to Lake Macdonald to be closer to family, Maxine and Colin continued their community involvement through the opening of a local car museum.

Maxine joined the Cooroy Chamber of Commerce Committee to contribute her extensive business and community experience while supporting the region’s ongoing development. She values the strong connections and networking opportunities within Cooroy’s business community and is particularly proud to be involved with Christmas in Cooroy.

Connie Gore is a dedicated real estate professional and one of the Principals at Gore Realty she has a genuine passion for helping people achieve their property goals and is committed to making every buying and selling experience a positive one.

In addition, Connie is the cofounder of Gorecadia, Cooroy’s 80s Arcade Social Hub which Connie is equally passionate about. Gorecaida was created to provide a safe space for youth and to bring people together, reflecting Connie’s belief that great communities are built through community connection and build lasting friendships. 

Teri is the Manager of the Waves of Kindness Cooroy Op Shop and has proudly been part of the Waves family for over four years. A Noosa Hinterland local for more than 30 years, she’s passionate about giving back, supporting the community and helping people wherever she can.

Teri recently launched a Friendship Group at the Cooroy Community Gardens, bringing locals together to connect, build friendships and help reduce loneliness and social isolation. She believes that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference.
